 Where do we go for check in and what are the times?

Check-In Session 1 June 8-11, 2018:
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday June 8th, 2018 at Couch dormitory on the University of Oklahoma Campus.

Check-In Session 2 June 15-18, 2018:
8:00-9:00am on June 15th, 2018 at Sam Viersen Gymnastics Facility.

Check-In Session 3 June 22-25, 2018:
8:00-9:00am on June 22nd, 2018 at Sam Viersen Gymnastics Facility.

 How do I get to camp? (Driving directions)

From the North: I-35 S /OK-74 S - 5.0 mi
Merge onto OK-9 via exit (East) 108A-B to University of Oklahoma/Tecumseh - 2.1 mi
Turn left at W. Imhoff Rd. -1.1 mi
Sam Viersen will be on your left hand side to the East of the Baseball Stadium at the corner of Asp Ave. and Imhoff. 


From the South: I-35 N /OK-74 S - 5.0 mi

 Where do parents park for check in?

Parking for the parents of overnight campers is located just outside Designated Dormitory. We will issue everyone temporary parking permits at check in which are valid for that day ONLY.

Parents checking in commuter campers can use the parking lot at the Lloyd Noble Center which is located just across the street (Imhoff Rd.) from the Sam Viersen Gymnastics facility

 Where do the campers practice?

All campers will practice inside the air conditioned, 23,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Sam Viersen Gymnastics practice facility located on the beautiful campus of the University of Oklahoma

 Are there any discounts offered?

We offer a $25 sibling discount as well as a $25 discount for campers attending multiple weeks!

 What is the camp refund policy?

Enrollment into camp works on a first-come first-serve basis. A refund (less the $200 deposit) is available if notification is received 3 weeks prior to the first day of camp. Cancellations inside of three weeks of the first day of camp will be NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case of serious illness or injury. Documentation of illness or injury will be required before the refund can be processed. Once documentation is received the refund will be granted less the $200 deposit Cancellations received inside of 3 weeks prior to the start of camp for any reason, other than serious illness or injury, are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Enrollment into the Champions Elite clinic works on a first-come first-serve basis. Clinic fees are non-refundable.

 What items should my child bring to camp?

Overnight Campers:
  • Twin Sheet Set and Blanket
  • Pillow and pillow case
  • Key Chain for dorm keys
  • Beach Towel and Shower Towel
  • Shower essentials (soap, shampoo, etc.)
  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste
  • Hair dryer / curling iron
  • Hair binders and clips
  • 6-8 Leotards
  • Gym Bag with NAME on it for @ practice
  • Grips, wrist bands and necessary equipment
  • Athletic tape and pre-wrap
  • 1 Swimsuit
  • Sunscreen
  • Several pair of Shorts and t-shirts
  • 2 Sweatshirts/pants (The gym is traditionally cool in the mornings)
  • Necessary undergarments
  • Pair of Sandals and Running shoes
  • Skit Night supplies/music/costumes
  • Spending money

 What meals are provided?

Overnight campers will receive lunch and dinner on Friday, Breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday and Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Monday.

Commuter campers will receive lunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

 Is there a medical staff at camp?

There will be a full time athletic trainer on duty at all times during camp.

 Where do we eat?

Campers will eat all meals at Couch Dormitory dining facility.

Commuter campers will have the option to leave campus during lunchtime with documented parent or guardian.

 Roommate assignments

Roommates according to requests made upon registration. Campers who do not make a roommate request will be assigned a roommate similar in age and competitive level. All roommate requests will be met with the utmost consideration. We will do our very best to keep large groups attending on the same floor and hall of the dorm.

  How will the campers be transported from the dorm to the gym and back?

We utilize public school buses to transfer campers from the dorm locations to the Sam Viersen Center and back each day.

Commuter campers are responsible for their own transportation unless they plan to have lunch on campus.

 Who stays with us in the dorms?

Camp staff as well as current and former OU gymnasts stay in the dorms with all campers. There are also OU housing advisors that are located at the front desk of each dorm for further questions and concerns.

 Will there be a camp store to provide snacks and drinks?

Camp concession will be available after each day of camp. There will be designated times that campers can access the concessions. Items in the concession include: bottled water, bottled Gatorade, snacks and candy etc…

Champions Gym Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
