K.J. KINDLER | Head Coach - OU Women’s Gymnastics

A three-time National Coach of the Year, Kindler led her program exactly where many said it could never go. OU's head coach has taken the Sooners to the absolute height of the NCAA gymnastics world with NCAA Championships in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022, 11 top-three national finishes, 12 straight regional titles, 192 All-America honors and 12 Big 12 titles.

Associate head coach Lou Ball enters his 17th season with Oklahoma women's gymnastics in 2022-23 as the primary coach on vault and co-coach on uneven bars.

TOM HALEY | Assistant Coach - OU Women’s Gymnastics

Tom Haley enters his 19th year as an associate head coach for the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team in 2022-23 after 16 seasons of excellence with the Sooners since his arrival in 2007.

ASHLEY KERR | Assistant Coach - OU Women’s Gymnastics

Ashley Kerr enters her 7th season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team in 2022-23. She assists in coaching beam for the Sooners.

Izzy Burton

A former gymnast, Izzy began dancing competitively at the age of 10. Her career highlights include dancing with Justin Bieber on his Purpose Tour, choreographing and dancing in Netflix’s Full Out 2: You Got This! movie and choreographing and starring in a music video. Izzy was the 2020 Radix Dance Nationals Senior Core Performer Runner-up and the 2019 Radix Senior Solo National Champion. She enjoys teaching ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary dance as well as choreographing floor routines for gymnastics clubs. Izzy is represented by Bloc Talent Agency and will be attending UCLA in the fall.

MARK WILLIAMS | Head Coach - OU Men’s Gymnastics

Mark Williams has become a household name in the world of gymnastics. The Sooner head coach has had success at every level of the sport and was recently inducted as one of the members of the 2015 class into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, just another testament to the outstanding coaching he has done with the national team and the OU men’s gymnastics squad. 

With three NCAA Championships already in the books, the University of Oklahoma men’s gymnastics program was no stranger to success prior to Williams’ arrival. However, Williams has established OU as the nation’s elite program with nine national titles in the past 23 years, claiming crowns in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2015, 2016, 2017 and most recently in 2018. 

Williams was named the head coach at Oklahoma for the 2000 season and has positioned the program as a national contender every year with an overall mark of 545-46-1 (.921) in 23 seasons at the helm. 

VALERIY GONCHAROV | Assistant Coach - OU Men’s Gymnastics

University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics head coach Mark Williams announced in August 2019 the addition of Olympic medalist Valeriy Goncharov to the coaching staff. 

"We're really happy to have Valeriy as part of our program," said Williams. "As an Olympic gold medalist and three-time Olympian for Ukraine, he brings knowledge of the process well beyond the NCAA level, where many of our guys seek to reach their highest potential. 

"We look forward to having him bring that experience and knowledge into the program and help us continue to be right at the top of the NCAA and putting guys on Team USA." 

Goncharov (pronounced Vuh-leer-EE Gon-CHUR-ov) won an Olympic team silver medal with Ukraine at the 2000 Sydney Games and was a gold medalist on parallel bars at the 2004 Games in Athens.  

JOSH YEE | Assistant Coach - OU Men’s Gymnastics

Head men’s gymnastics coach Mark Williams announced in late August 2018 the addition of former Sooner gymnast Josh Yee as assistant coach. 

In 2019, Yee helped led the Sooners to another MPSF conference title, marking the program’s eighth-straight conference crown, while three Sooners brought home a combined six individual conference titles. At the 2019 NCAA Championships, the Sooners saw their streak of 121 consecutive victories come to an end at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal, taking second by .666. At the championship meet, six Sooners combined for 11 All-America honors (Levi Anderson, Peter Daggett, Vitaliy Guimaraes, Yul Moldauer, Brian Schibler, Genki Suzuki). 

GENKI SUZUKI | Volunteer Coach - OU Men’s Gymnastics

Former Oklahoma All-American, national champion and U.S. national team gymnast Genki Suzuki returned to OU as volunteer coach in January of 2023. 

Suzuki won team national titles with the Sooners in 2016, ’17 and ’18 and was a senior co-captain on the 2019 runner-up squad. He was a member of the U.S. Senior Men’s National Team at the 2018 Senior Pan American Championship and 2019 Pan American Games. 

Champions Gym Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
